Kia Motors (UK) Limited has seen an increase in hybrid and electric vehicle sales in the UK, with a 27 per cent increase compared to 2019. Kia dealerships across the UK sold 3,347 hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles in Q1 - 22 per cent of which were battery electric vehicles - making up 15 per cent of the total electrified sales for Kia Motors in Europe.
Despite a decline in total vehicle sales as a result of disruption caused by the spread of coronavirus, Kia sold 22,295 cars in the first three months of 2020, which equates to more than 19 per cent of the total European sales. Kia has also seen an 18.8 per cent year-on-year sales growth for its newly expanded Ceed range, available at Hendy Kia.
